Sea Trek Sailing Adventures offers a range of voyages around some of the most beautiful marine regions of Indonesia. While the boats can be privately chartered, Sea Trek offers a range of fixed-date, join-in journeys. They have two boats, one accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, and the other offers 12 cabins for groups of up to 24.
Some of the join-in itineraries are expert-led, offering guests the opportunity to travel with masters in specific fields such as botany, zoology, history and culture.
The boats themselves are wooden pinisi ships: Ombak Putih and Katharina. Each boat has comfortable cabins, en suite bathrooms and air-con. Katharina is the boat that accommodates up to 12 guests, and Ombak Putih accommodates 24 guests.
In the winter months, the cruises tend to focus on 10 or 12-day cruises around The Spice Islands and Sulawesi. Then, as the weather pattern changes, the boats move across to Flores and Komodo with some wonderful 8-day programmes offered sailing via Komodo National Park, West Nusa Tenggara, Lombok and The Gili Islands towards the remote north coast of Bali.
Eco/Adventure - This category covers gorgeous lodges in the jungle, comfortable safari camps and dreamy, but simple, beach cabanas. These places defy conventional categorisation: what is communing with nature to one person may be terrifying bugs to another! Many of these places are very comfortable and the service generally of a very high level - but please read the website review carefully and/or talk to us and be sure to have understood what you are letting yourselves in for!
