Famed for its quality coffee, stunning waterfalls, temperate climate and fascinating ethnic cultures, the Bolaven Plateau makes for a scenic day trip from Pakse, Champasak or Paksong. Meet your expert guide and transportation for the day, a vintage jeep ideal for the terrain you will cover, before setting off on a trail cutting ride through the plateau on a route rarely, if ever, visited by tourists.
First, you will stop to visit a number of interesting ethnic minority villages. Around lunchtime, you will arrive at your guide’s coffee plantation where you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. Later, enjoy a walking tour of the fertile plantation where your guide will give you an insight into the coffee growing process from seed to cup before you can enjoy a fresh coffee yourself.
