Satri House Luang Prabang is a small boutique hotel surrounded by a lush green garden a short walk from the centre of Luang Prabang.
The unique building was built at the turn of the last century as a residence of Prince Souphanouvong and has been restored to its former glory.
Not all hotels in Luang Prabang have a swimming pool, but Satri House Luang Prabang has 2, both set in its pretty gardens. There is also a spa with Jacuzzi, plunge pool, steam room and a range of treatments. The airy restaurant is elegantly designed with the same feel as the rest of the resort and serves Laos, Asian and Western food.
Satri House Luang Prabang ticks all the boxes for the top choice in Luang Prabang as it has style, location, service and the added plus of the swimming pools.
Ideal for couples, solo travellers and heritage enthusiasts, Satri House offers a refined escape with real character.
Its peaceful garden setting, colonial design and thoughtful touches make it one of Luang Prabang’s most atmospheric places to stay—perfect for those who value style, history and a bit of quiet after a day of exploring.
The Rooms
The grand residence has 25 rooms and suites and throughout has a tasteful combination of wooden furniture and terracotta floors, complemented by colonial artefacts and plush soft furnishings. The combination of crisp contemporary touches with more traditional materials helps create a stylish yet comfortable homely feel.
Satri House Luang Prabang has 15 rooms, seven junior suites and 3 Satri House Suites. All feature the same design but vary in size. All have spacious balconies or terraces and four-poster beds.
