The Bangsak Village Resort is a wonderfully relaxing resort north of Khao Lak, on Thailand’s Andaman coast.
With just 60 rooms in total, the Bangsak Village Resort is peaceful and tranquil with expansive gardens and wide beachfront access. A large, rectangular, salt-water swimming pool with views out to sea is the centre of the hotel. Flanked by the main restaurant, this is the ideal place to while away the day. The beach itself is excellent and largely deserted.
Facilities at the Bangsak Village Resort include an in-house spa, beach restaurant & bar, petanque, volleyball and free bicycles for exploring the local area and villages.
Designed in a modern, tropical style, rooms are split into three categories: Coco Chalets, Casuarina Cottages, and Alocasia Two-Story Bungalows. All rooms are double in configuration, with large bathtubs, separate showers, and polished cement floors. The decoration is minimal throughout with pastel colours used to create a relaxing ambience.
It is a couples-only resort and children are not permitted, ensuring the relaxing atmosphere. The location is quite remote but the hotel offers a daily shuttle bus to Khao Lak town - about 15 minutes' drive away - where a good range of restaurants, shops and bars can be found.
The Bangsak Village Resort is something of a rarity for hotels in mainland Thailand, offering a genuinely secluded beach and the authentic, local area. Ideal for couples of all ages, the resort represents excellent value for money for anyone looking to really get away from it all.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
