For the ultimate experience, you can stay in one of four traditional Thai teakwood houses that were originally sourced by the famous silk tycoon Jim Thompson and socialite Connie Mangskau. For a hotel with only a small amount of rooms, The Siam offers an impressive range of eateries and facilities. The Thai Restaurant Chon doubles up as a fantastic cooking school so guests can learn a few tricks of the trade. The hotel has an impressive wellness spa called Opium and an excellent riverside swimming pool. Sumptuous afternoon tea can be taken in Café Cha on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and you can sip cocktails whenever you'd like at the riverside bar.

This is a genuinely distinctive, one-of-a-kind hotel in Bangkok.
