Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, North Ari Atoll The Maldives, Central Islands
It’s just a 30-minute speedboat transfer away from Male, but once you arrive on this beautiful “island of white gold”, you’ll still have the sense of being secluded. This is the place to come for an active adventure holiday in the North Male Atoll. The facilities are great for both land and water activities, including tennis, squash, badminton and a large range of water sports. It’s also home to some of the most affordable overwater villas in the Maldives.
There are two types of accommodation at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi: garden rooms and beach villas. The garden rooms are scattered across the island. They are air-conditioned and semi-detached with a private sitting area outside. If direct beach access is a priority, the slightly more spacious beach villas are simple but more than adequate, and the wide French doors leading out onto the private deck set the scene for some unforgettable sunsets. The water villas are separated from the rest of the resort by a wooden causeway and offer a high level of privacy and tranquillity to guests. They are bright and contemporary with tasteful colour accents, comfortable king-sized beds, and five-star amenities. If you’re looking for an overwater accommodation experience in the Maldives, Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi is about as affordable as it gets, and are a great choice for honeymooners.
Two restaurants and two bars serve a variety of meals, snacks and drinks. The main restaurant offers buffet-style dining and the Sunset Restaurant has a la carte dining. You can choose an all-inclusive meal and drinks plan when making your booking, which also includes some sporting equipment: talk to Experience Travel Group to find out more.
This is not a five-star operation, but better suited to families and honeymooners looking to appreciate all that the Maldives has to offer without the tear-inducing price tag. You won’t get an impeccable level of personalised customer service, but you will get a warm greeting, perfectly adequate facilities and rooms and really great value for money during your stay.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
The Maldives was fantastic, quite a hike to get to but worth it, so private, loads of space and a brilliant lagoon to swim in by our villa and fantastic snorkelling the other side.
