Lak Tented Camp in Lien Son is a unique accommodation experience overlooking Vietnam’s largest natural lake. Come here for picturesque scenery, vibrant culture and a chance to experience local life. You can expect comfortable basic amenities in the tents and elegant touches in sophisticated wooden bungalows. Wherever you land, enjoy unforgettable sunrises and sunsets on lakeside balconies.
It’s all about Lak Lake here and the myriad of ways to enjoy it: kayaking, mountain biking, village walks, fishing, gardening and more. Above all, a cold drink at sunrise or sunset from your private balcony will be a special moment in time. Y Lak Restaurant is a rustic and charming wooden longhouse with plenty of coveted spots for lakeside al fresco dining. They serve local M’nong, Vietnamese and Western dishes using plenty of ingredients sourced directly from the on-site gardens.
Choose from double or twin tented lodges with fans or air-conditioned wooden bungalows. All tents have private toilets and bathrooms, plenty of hot water and basic amenities. The two-storey luxurious wooden bungalows are furnished with locally crafted furniture pieces and artwork. They make the most of the spectacular scenery and sleep up to four people.
Lak Tented Camp is a relatively new endeavour and not quite ready to be a slick operation. The local staff are friendly but might not yet have all the answers. All the same, this “glamping” experience is tremendous and Lien Son is well worth a visit for a few days of off-the-beaten-track trekking, culture and company.
Eco/Adventure - This category covers gorgeous lodges in the jungle, comfortable safari camps and dreamy, but simple, beach cabanas. These places defy conventional categorisation: what is communing with nature to one person may be terrifying bugs to another! Many of these places are very comfortable and the service generally of a very high level - but please read the website review carefully and/or talk to us and be sure to have understood what you are letting yourselves in for!
