Mia is a small and peaceful upmarket resort situated beachside between Nha Trang’s small local airport and its bustling city centre. The resort is set on a private beach, sheltered by cliffs with great views over the sea and surrounding jungle-clad mountains. Modern Asian design throughout plus all mod-cons and friendly service makes Mia a good option for couples and families to unwind and enjoy Nha Trang's clear blue waters.
The resort's 50 rooms have sea views but are divided into the three categories consisting of Condos, Villas and Mia Suites. Condos are hotel rooms with a fresh modern feel, mod cons like flat-screen TV and iPod docking station, and an outdoor terrace where you can watch the sunset. Some come with a garden view, while others overlook the ocean.
The Villas are all the same size, and each has a private veranda, and outside lounge area, the main difference between them is their location within the resort. Some are set up on the hillside with panoramic views over the area, some amongst the rolling lawns in the garden and others set along the beachfront, just a few steps away from the sea. Some villas also come with private pools. Bathrooms in all room types are a beautiful granite design with double sinks, sunken baths and separate toilet and rain shower.
If you are travelling as a family or two couples one of the two Mia Suites might be worth considering - they give you the privacy of two separate bedrooms, with a communal living area and your private pool.
Mia Resort offers excellent western and Vietnamese food in its two outlets and has all the facilities you might expect from a hotel of its standard including ‘Xanh Spa’ and ‘Mojitos’ cocktail bar. There are water sports and scuba diving tours available and each day you can learn Vietnamese cooking in ‘Sandals’ restaurant.
If you fancy doing some sightseeing then Nha Trang city is only a short journey away, there you can shop till you drop in the markets, visit cultural sights or choose from a range of restaurants.
In short, Mia is perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge your batteries during or after a busy tour of Vietnam. The location is particularly recommended for this at certain times of the year as Nha Trang gets less affected by the rainy season than some other beach locations in Vietnam.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
