Just a ten minute drive from the Khasab Airport, Atana Musandam provides lovely accommodation in what feels like quite a remote yet scenic location.
The design has been inspired by a traditional Omani village, with a laid back atmosphere and welcoming service.
The property sits on a waterway with views out to the mountains in the distance and the pleasant grounds are dotted with olive and banana trees.
You’ll find the usual facilities such as a spa, fitness centre and pool, as well as a kids’ pool. All day dining is available at the Al Mawra restaurant with traditional Omani dishes as well as international favourites. It is an alcohol-free hotel, though there is a bar at the Atana Khasab, which is just a five minute drive away. Time can be spent lazing by the pool, heading out on a dolphin watching trip, or on a Dhow cruise to admire the beautiful surrounding landscapes. You can also experience diving, mountain safaris and fishing trips to catch your seafood dinner.
The Rooms
All 110 rooms and suites have private balconies as well as views out to the waterway. Reasonably sized, they’re well-appointed, with all the usual amenities. The duplexes also have a living area and kitchenette, which are great for families.
The Atana provides value for money and a lovely base from which to explore the beauty of the Musandam Peninsula. However, it is a dry hotel so, if you’d prefer something else, there are other options in the area.
