Villa Maydou is a lovely hotel in the centre of Luang Prabang, encompassing two traditional Laos Houses and two newly constructed houses. The result is a charming boutique hotel.
The addition of the pool in 2013 really cements this hotel as a great option for your stay, as few hotels this close to central Luang Prabang have one. It’s easy to spend an afternoon in the grounds relaxing, but you are within easy walking distance is the town with it’s many restaurants and bars. The hotel offers free bicycle rental, so you can explore at your leisure.

Villa Maydou is a good all round hotel with a top notch level of service, lovely character and a central location and its great value for money. The pool makes it ideal for the hotter months and with connecting rooms it’s ideally set up for families too.
The Rooms
The hotel features 29 rooms spread over the 4 buildings. Its important to note that there are no tv’s in the old part of the building in keeping with maintenance of the original charm. The newer rooms are more up to date and you’ve got the balance between mod cons and Laotion design.
