Southern Vietnam, Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)
Saigon Family Tour
Experience Saigon by day and night, exploring the historic Reunification Palace, tasting local treats, and whizzing through the city streets on a Vespa adventure.
In the morning, enjoy free time by the pool or relaxing at leisure. Then, after lunch, your guide will meet you for a visit to the iconic Reunification Palace. This was the home of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Here, the wartime telecommunications room, eerie tunnels, and kitsch décor in the grand meeting rooms remain intact. Images of North Vietnamese tanks crashing through the gates in 1975 are world famous. Overall, your visit will take you back to the 1970s and bring this important part of world history to life.
On the way back to your hotel, stop at one of Saigon’s ice cream parlours. These shops are popular hangouts for local teenagers. Moreover, you can enjoy as much delicious ice cream as you like.
Later in the evening, another adventure awaits on a Vespa tour of the city (riding pillion). During the tour, whizz through the streets, taking in the night scenery and stopping at street food stalls along the way. For example, sample Banh Xeo, a regional delicacy of savoury fried pancakes, visit a Vietnamese-style coffee shop, and finally, end the evening with a game of bowling.
