Eco Minded Travellers
The Jahoo Gibbon Camp is an example of the benefits ecotourism can bring to a threatened natural environment.
Come here to experience the ancestral home of the indigenous Bunong people, an area with outstanding biodiversity that is an important wildlife sanctuary. Your visit will directly benefit the community and their efforts to conserve the forest.
The forest, known as Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, is home to over 1000 plants, fungi and animals, with over 350 bird species spotted. However, it’s particularly notable for its primates. Seven species can be found here, and the forest is home to the world’s largest populations of black-shanked douc langur and southern yellow-cheeked crested gibbon.
Ideal for wildlife lovers, adventurous travellers and those seeking meaningful, low-impact experiences, Jahoo Gibbon Camp offers deep immersion in Cambodia’s forests.
With expert Bunong guides and direct access to one of Southeast Asia’s most biodiverse habitats, it’s perfect for those looking to connect with nature and culture in a truly authentic way.
The Rooms
Dont expect luxury. The camp is a basic set-up with simple safari tents with beds and showers. Dining is communal in the lounge, with tasty home-cooked Khmer food. The local Bunong people run the camp and will act as both your hosts and guides for primate treks, trips to waterfalls and all activities in the forest.
