The Ultimate Travelling Camp Jaagir Lodge
Untouched safari region,
Heritage charm,
Expert naturalists
Couples,
Families,
Wildlife Enthusiasts
This small converted hunting lodge was previously used by British Governors and is situated in a vast sugar cane plantation.
It’s your luxurious gateway to the three parks of Dudhwa National Park, one of the least explored wildlife areas in India, but with one of the largest tiger, elephant and rhino populations and a huge variety of birdlife.
Please note the hotel is operated by The Ultimate Travelling Camp on a seasonal basis from November to June.
Despite its decadent design, the property feels very homely with antique furnishings, beautiful patterned wall papers and oodles of history and charm. There is a homestay feel to the hotel where you might share stories and meals with other guests. The library bar is a perfect spot to enjoy a drink after a day out exploring by jeep, or sit out and read a book on the veranda. There is lovely fresh water swimming pool with a view of the forest behind.
This really is an ideal base for the exploration of the three of parks of Dudhwa National Park (Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary). We recommend an absolute minimum of 3 nights here, although ideally 4 or more. It is might even appeal to you to have a day just relax in luxurious and idyllic surroundings or gain an insight into local village life. The Ultimate Travelling Camp has exceptional naturalists too, which will only make your experience better for all their knowledge and experience.
The Rooms
There are 3 luxury rooms in the main house with an eclectic style, expect vibrant soft furnishings, high ceilings and every room has a living area. The 4 luxury suites are huge and look out onto a private courtyard or terrace. There are 4 pavilion villas, dotted throughout the 5 acre site. They have a bedroom, sitting room and are suited for a bit more privacy and peacefulness. There are also 2 brick villas.
