Situated on Oman’s eastern coastline along the beaches of Ra’as al Hadd, Ras Al Jinz provides a comfortable base from which to experience turtles hatching.
Known for being the nesting grounds for the endangered green turtle, this is one of the few places you can watch the nesting process of these beautiful creatures.
Your stay includes turtle viewing at dawn and evening, as well as entry to the Turtle Reserve Visitor Centre museum.
There aren’t many dining options and facilities; the main focus of your stay will be on visiting the reserve.
The Rooms
Simple rooms and luxury eco-tents are available, with standard furnishings, basic bathrooms and the usual amenities. We suggest going for the eco-tents as they provide a more unique option.
Accommodation may be basic and doesn’t offer great value for money, but it’s a clean and comfortable base from which to focus on the turtles and beaches.
