Discover Javanese Culture , Yogyakarta

Ullen Sentalu is an interesting museum located in natural surroundings on the outskirts of Yogyakara and a visit will give you an understanding of Javanese culture, royal history and art as told through the accounts of ancient Javanese Princesses (and the odd King.) 

The architecture of the museum itself is quite a sight having been made out of volcanic rocks from the region.

Exhibits feature various artifacts and old relics from the old royalty of Indonesia. The museum is filled with heritage, focusing largely on ancient Batik - a form of tapestary documenting the history the Javanese through storytelling.
