Lynsey’s been in the travel industry since 2003, and it all started with her obsession with David Attenborough and TV shows about far-off places and different cultures.
Fast forward to today, she’s visited an impressive 48 countries – always looking out for wildlife, trying local food and snapping more photos than her camera can handle.
Lynsey’s always up for an adventure. Kayaking, zip-lining, snorkelling – if it’s something active, she’s in. But she’s also got a soft spot for a little luxury – dreamy hotels with amazing food, thoughtful touches, and scenic settings.
Some of her favourite hotels? Thotalagala and Wild Coast Tented Lodge in Sri Lanka, Avana Retreat in Vietnam, and Baros in the Maldives – all ETG favourites, too.
Most of her travels have been smooth sailing apart from the odd mishap – like the time in Costa Rica when a flat tyre left her stranded. After three (yes, three) failed attempts to jack up the car, a helpful stranger from a nearby bus stop came to the rescue. As a thank you, she gave him a lift… only to find out his destination was hours away!
These days, she’s all about Sri Lanka. From biking and boating (even in the rain) to spotting elephants in the wild – it’s her kind of place.
Here at ETG, Lynsey loves helping travellers find that sweet spot between discovery and downtime. If there’s a sunset cocktail or two involved, even better.
