A serene heritage retreat in scenic Paro Valley.
Nestled within 10 acres of landscaped gardens, Zhiwa Ling Heritage combines traditional Bhutanese architecture with modern comfort. Its ornately carved beams, painted ceilings, and an on-site temple built from 450-year-old timbers reflect deep cultural roots. With just 45 spacious suites spread across the main building and surrounding cottages, and underfloor heating, private balconies, and valley views throughout, the hotel balances authenticity and luxury.
Ideal for culture-conscious travellers seeking heritage richness and wellness amenities.
The hotel features two restaurants—Lingka for international cuisine and Gawa for Bhutanese dishes—as well as the cosy Mad Monk Bar and a traditional tea house. Guests may join butter‑tea ceremonies, meditate with monks, or attend blessings in the on-site temple. Wellness facilities include Menlha Spa with hot‑stone baths, sauna, steam room, fitness centre, plus meditation and tea houses. Activities range from guided hikes to Tiger’s Nest, birding, archery and craft workshops.
The Rooms
One-bedroom and junior suites are available, and some have lovely views of the Paro Valley and surrounding mountains. They are spread across 8 cottages, linked to the main building and with either a king or two queen beds and a sitting area. The bathrooms have tubs and wonderful underfloor heating.
