A stylish hideaway on the quieter side of Siem Reap, tucked between a pagoda and the river.
Heritage Suites sits away from the busy centre of town, next to the beautiful Polanka Pagoda and the Siem Reap River. It’s one of the finest places to stay near the temples of Angkor, with a creative mix of Cambodian, French and Asian design.
After long, dusty days among the temples, it’s a genuinely peaceful place to come home to.
The varied à la carte menu is created by a Cambodian chef, and it’s a lovely spot for a drink in the evening.
Out in the gardens, a saltwater pool is surrounded by sun loungers and lush greenery, with a relaxed thatched pool bar serving food and drinks through the day.
The airport and the temples of Angkor are just a short drive away, yet the atmosphere here is calm and unhurried. The staff are friendly and attentive, and being slightly removed from the main tourist area is a real bonus.
All in all, this is a stylish, great-value base for exploring Angkor in comfort.
The Rooms
There are 26 rooms, suites and bungalows, each individually designed with a bright, airy feel.
The six Deluxe Rooms are compact and tastefully styled, with king-size beds. The 17 Bungalow Suites are much larger, with open-plan living spaces, a stone bathtub, a private garden with an outdoor shower and your own steam room.
The three Royal Suites are larger still, with bigger private gardens and outdoor jacuzzis.
