Belmond Jimbaran
Peaceful location,
Traditional villas,
Beachfront dining
Couples,
Families
Belmond’s Jimbaran Puri Bali is a beautifully designed and furnished hotel in the heart of the wide Jimbaran bay, creating a relaxed and luxurious environment in which to enjoy the laid back charm of this relatively quiet beach.
In the centre of the beautiful Jimbaran Bay, the property provides great views out to the ocean and location from which to explore the famous seafood barbecues along the beach. The main communal area at the front of the property and on the edge of the beach is lovely; a large L shaped pool, with a shallow lounging area and deeper swimming section, a beach restaurant and bar are all overlooked by the main restaurant. The food is excellent, with a choice between Mediterranean seafood on the beach or Balinese in the main restaurant.
Jimbaran Puri is well suited to couples and relaxed travellers looking for a quieter side of Bali with direct beach access and an intimate atmosphere. It offers a more traditional style of stay, away from the larger resort scene.
However, be warned, this is an incredibly popular hotel and in the busy season, you must book early to ensure availability.
The Rooms
The hotel has 69 tasteful villas and cottages spread across a wonderfully maintained garden, all of which are simple but very stylishly furnished to fit in with their surroundings. The detached cottages are in a great beachfront location and have large rooms with a separate living area and a large bathroom. Like the rest of the hotel, they are designed and fitted in a stylish and modern Balinese manner and are light, open and airy.
The pool villas have the significant advantage of a large outdoor area with a good-sized pool, but they are set back and are further from the beach.
