Facilities at the Caravelle include a superb outdoor pool and a serene spa with great value treatment packages. A sumptuous buffet breakfast can be devoured in ‘Nineteen’ and you can enjoy bubbles and snacks during the day/night at the Tapas Kitchen and Champagne Corner.
In the original part of the building, guests can visit the popular ‘Saigon, Saigon’ bar and sip Saigon beer whilst looking out at the view of Saigon! At the close of the Vietnam War, the bar was frequented by American journalists who would keep an eye on the front line from their barstools.
The Caravelle suits those who like to be in the thick of the city but also appreciate a rooftop drink, a good night’s sleep, and a pool to cool off in after a day out.
The original hotel was built in 1959 and housed just 9 hotel floors but in the late 1990s, a new high-rise wing was built which houses the rooms today. With 24 stories, bedrooms at The Caravelle command some of the best views in town.
The interior design might look a little bland on the surface (and in the pictures) but in reality you’ll find comfort and a quality finish with great service, facilities and location. The club rooms are definitely worth considering as they offer a variety of extra benefits including free drinks in the club lounge.
