Visit the Cham Museum in Danang, once the centre of the ancient Cham civilisation. Hindu in origin, the Cham people left a legacy of sublime sculptures, now housed in the only museum, as they were pushed south by the advancing Vietnamese invaders.

Continue to the Marble Mountains for a photo stop en route to Hoi An. These five rocky outcrops represent five natural elements and inspire many intriguing legends. They also house temples and once even served as an army hospital.
At the mountains’ base, skilled artisans carve statues from locally sourced marble. Just a short drive from Danang, the unique trading town of Hoi An remained untouched by war. Destroyed rail lines and a silted river isolated it, leaving the town frozen in time.
In Hoi An, you will see architecture influenced by Japanese, French, Chinese and Indian traders of a bygone era. Ancient houses remain beautifully preserved. Cars cannot pass through the town, making it an excellent walking village.
Visit the unique Japanese Covered Bridge and a Chinese communal house. You can also shop for art at numerous galleries and enjoy the riverside ambiance.
