Couples
Located within the Danum Valley Conservation Area, the Borneo Rainforest Lodge is perfectly located for spotting wild orangutan, silver leaf monkeys, gibbons, and even newly discovered species such as the spectacled flowerpecker.
The lodge offers great dining despite the remote location, as well as a variety of excursions like jungle walks, bird watching, and safari drives guided by resident nature experts. There is also a 30m high canopy walkway, allowing you the opportunity to experience life in the treetops for yourself.
Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, adventurous couples, and curious travellers wanting to explore Borneo’s rainforest with expert guides and stay in comfort deep in the jungle.
With 31 well-appointed chalets, guided jungle walks, canopy walkways and open-air bathtubs, the lodge combines immersive nature experiences with thoughtful touches that elevate it beyond a typical jungle stay.
The Rooms
The lodge offers by far the most comfortable accommodation in the jungle, with 31 well-lit wooden chalets located along the Danum River. The airy, polished chalets come with en-suite bathrooms, some with their own open-air bathtub – a unique experience seeing as you are in the middle of a lowland dipterocarp rainforest! Whilst there is no air conditioning here all rooms do have fans.
