The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre offers an incredible opportunity to observe the rehabilitation of orphaned or injured orangutans in their natural habitat.
Established to protect and nurture these gentle primates, the centre is dedicated to reintroducing them back into the wild. One of the highlights of a visit is the feeding session, where you can watch the orangutans interact and feed together, providing a heartwarming glimpse into their social behaviour and recovery journey.
Next, you’ll visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. This sanctuary is one of the few places where you can actually see the world’s smallest bear, an endangered species that is notoriously elusive in the wild.
