Sitting along the banks of the Paro Chu River in a pristine valley, Nemjo Heritage is a charming and intimate, renovated farmhouse just 2km from Paro town centre.
A stay here will allow you to get an authentic insight into Bhutan’s tranquil village life - take the chance to wander along the trail through the paddy fields that leads to an ancient Lhakhang (Chapel). There aren’t many facilities at the farmhouse; just a small bar and restaurant on the ground floor and a lovely outdoor area but traditional hot stone and relaxing herbal baths are on offer if you wish to indulge.
The top floor has been converted into a two bedroom suite with a spacious lounge area, overlooking the paddies, pine forest and apple orchards. The middle floor houses the three other rooms: two doubles and one twin.
In all, a simple yet characterful lodge set in a peaceful, scenic village.
Comfort - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin - provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels.
