The Anantara Angkor is in a great location in Siem Reap. Combining elements of Khmer design and modern art with a peaceful atmosphere, it’s a lovely place to return to after exploring the temples.
The saltwater pool is the centrepiece and its design has been inspired by the Royal Angkor baths. Enjoy high tea in the L-lounge, drinks or tapas in the evening, while the Chi restaurant dishes up quality, modern Khmer dishes. There is also a spa with a wet room, steam room, hot tub and array of soothing treatments available, as well as a gym.
39 Khmer-style suites are all set around the tropical pool area and there is a variety of categories to choose from. The lead-in rooms make great use of space, paying attention to detail with dark wooden flooring, Khmer artwork and great amenities. The Anantara and Sothea Suites are much more spacious and can accommodate families with the added extra of a living room. For an even more luxurious experience, go for the Explorer or Two Bedroom Suites with their own pools, living, dining and spa rooms.
The Anantara is an excellent option for those seeking beautiful accommodation and a tranquil spot to retreat to in Siem Reap.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
