Cambodia Grand Journey
Three-week, in-depth adventure. Take in a range of experiences and off-the-beaten-track locations that many visitors miss.
As the name might imply, the Palace Gate Hotel is right next to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in the heart of Phnom Penh. With the Tonle Sap River just across the road, this is an excellent base from which to explore Cambodia's capital city.
The 54-room property is a restored French Colonial Villa with suites and rooms offering a choice of aspects and views. With views of the river and 54 m2 of space, the Majesty Suites are a good choice, and the Palace Suite with two double bedrooms is a great option for families.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by loungers where you can relax after a morning exploring. There is also a rooftop bar where you can enjoy sundowners looking out at the Phnom Penh skyline. The Senses Spa offers a range of treatments, and there is a well-equipped gym. The Melea Restaurant serves French and Khmer cuisine and the daily breakfast buffet. Drinks and light meals are served at the pool bar, whilst tapas can be enjoyed at the rooftop bar.
A well-equipped, friendly all-rounder in a great location, The Palace Gate is a reliable option for anyone visiting Phnom Penh.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
