The hotel has been designed with modern wooden interiors with comfortable furnishings. It’s situated very close to the Sarawak River, and some rooms view the angular-domed State Legislative Assembly Building, the colonial Astana Palace and Fort Margherita.
It’s a short walk to Kuching’s main bazaar where you can find a range of crafts, artefacts and antiques in quaint shops. You are also close to The Sarawak Museum which is the oldest museum in Borneo, built in the 1800s it contains artefacts relating to the region’s natural history, ethnographic record and archaeology.
Rooms are very well-appointed, and with only 24 in total, the hotel has an intimate and personal atmosphere. Two former shops were knocked through to create the hotel as it is today, each room is distinctive, and while some feature spectacular views as mentioned, others do not. However, some feature private verandas, balconies or sky garden decks instead. Do consult your travel expert to discuss the best option.
