Explore Thalassery Town, Thalassery

Head into Thalassery to explore the local market and fort. It’s a pleasant and laid back town and you’ll spend an enjoyable few hours poking around with your guide.  If you're lucky, your trip might coincide with a mesmeric local ritual - the Theyyam temple dance - when the priest goes into a trance to perform an eerie dance.  Tourists are very welcome to attend these dances and your guide will arrange it if one if happening. Although they are held frequently, it is not something that we can arrange – these are not tourists spectacles but live cultural events, so it is very much luck of the draw on whether you will experience one or not.

Mopalla cuisine, the speciality of the Malabar coast, is a feature here and your guide will assist you on making the most of the food on offer locally during tour tour, from baking to local biriyani, there is something for everyone to try here.
