Puri Mas Beach Resort,
Info : Puri Mas Beach Resort
Steeped in the influences of Bali and Lombok, the Puri Mas beach resort was inspired by traditional Indonesian villages. From the food to the service and the décor the Indonesian spirit is captured throughout the hotel.
Situated about four kilometres away from the popular tourist destination of Senggigi, Puri Mar sits on the volcanic beaches of the west coast of Lombok. A wide variety of rooms, suites and private villas are offered ranging from the comfortable ‘Cosy Budget’ rooms all the way up to the two storey Presidential suite; providing something for everyone’s tastes. Thatched roofs, local materials, ornate carvings and tropical gardens decorate the resort.
The Puri Mas offers extensive facilities including a yoga garden, a resident ‘Dance Guru’ available for private lessons, a fitness and wellbeing centre, the Luxury Garden Spa, and an infinity pool with stunning views overlooking the ocean. An in-house Dive Master caters for both beginners and experts, allowing all guests to fully explore the impressive coral reefs and marine life Lombok has to offer. Snorkelling is on offer for less adventurous guests who nonetheless want to see for themselves the wonders of the sea-bed.
If the hotel’s facilities and activities aren’t enough day trips around the rest of Lombok, as well as trips further afield such as to Bali or to the Komodo Islands, are easily available from the hotel. The warm and welcoming staff are always pleased to offer assistance.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
Six great and amazingly different hotels - we would happily recommend any of them. We had three excellent guides as well. And we lost track of the number of "Wow" moments. In addition to the obvious, including Paramban, Borobodur and Bromo, we would add our tour of the markets + rickshaw ride in Malang, and having coffee with Mr Rai at the Agung Rai Gallery in Bali. Our guide in Bali, Otok (?) was excellent at explaining local culture, and we left an offering at his family shrine.
