Dok Keow is a venture by Jason Desha, a keen yachtsman with an interest in Indochina. He's built the boat merging local traditional knowledge and western technologies to make an extremely comfortable riverboat.
Available for a morning jaunt to the Pak Ou caves including a delicious brunch or a champagne and sunset cruise, it makes for a fantastic day excursion. Alternatively, you can charter it overnight, for a very special experience. One particularly good feature is how quiet the engine is, many other boats are very loud but this one makes minimal noise so you can have a decent conversation as you meander down the river.
The boat itself can sleep 4 overnight but if you just want a day charter, it can take up to 8 people on a river journey. With a selection of wines and beers on board, as well as Champagne, this makes for a very relaxing cultural experience.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
