During your stay at a local village homestay, you’ll delve into the community’s customs and way of life by visiting the local temple and learning some of the traditional artisan skills still practiced to support local industries, like creating natural dyes used for local hand-woven fabrics.
The best way to get to know a local community is often through cooking and eating together, and the trip includes the opportunity to help in the making of Khao Khuob, a delicious sticky rice wrapped in coconut leaves. After your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with a home cooked dinner with some of the community – a great chance to get to know the Tai Lue on a more personal level and for them to get to know you.
