Abode Bombay is an off-beat, boutqiue hotel right in the middle of Colaba, the old British quarter, known as a vibrant and fascinating part of Mumbai.
This one-of-a-kind accommodation option in the bustling city is attractive, characterful, and fuses modern comfort with vintage touches.
Colaba, on the southernmost tip of Mumbai, is compact, easy to walk around, and packed with interesting things to see and do. There are chic boutiques, cafes, bars, and restaurants opening all the time. Observe the fishermen on the Sassoon Docks and amble down the Strand Promenade.
At the hotel, there’s a café, a spa room, a fitness studio, and a boutique showcasing local crafts and wares. Abode pays tribute to the Bombay heritage with loads of original Indian artwork and vintage furniture pieces. Turn a corner in the hotel and you’ll be look at something new and interesting to look at.
The Rooms
There are only 25 rooms in total, and they’re all distinctive.
Some are small and some are large, some welcome plenty of natural light and others are a little on the dark side.
If you need the traditional luxury amenities, you might be put off by the open bathroom concept featured in some of the rooms.
Otherwise, it’s a unique and stylish place to call home when you’re in Mumbai.
