Alila Fort Bishangarh
Luxurious fort,

Perched atop a hill between Jaipur and Delhi, Alila Fort Bishangarh is pretty special: a 230-year-old warrior fort transformed into a luxurious hotel.
It’s a bold blend of Mughal-Rajput heritage and thoughtful modern design, surrounded by sweeping views of the countryside around the Aravalli hills.
This is a good choice for travellers wanting to experience Rajasthan’s rich history (Jaipur lies just an hour away), and a have a bit of a break from the region’s hectic cities.
Couples, families or friends looking for something impressive with good food and complete comfort will appreciate Alila Fort.
There’s a wonderful infinity pool, perfect for a resfreshing dip in the heat of the day, as well as a spoiling spa. Dining ranges from Silk Route-inspired dishes at Amarsar to rooftop grills at Nazaara, and even private meals tucked into turrets or out in the fields.
The Madhuveni bar is great with cocktails and a cigar menu, while the lounges offer slower spaces for tea or something stronger.
The Rooms
Each of the 59 suites is shaped slightly differently, in keeping with the original layout of the fort, but all are very comfortable.
Some have stone alcoves and daybeds, others offer wide countryside views, deep marble baths or even plunge pools.
The style is considered: tasteful interiors, soft light, old stone. Even the simplest rooms feel generous and rooted in place.
