Dev Shree
Elegant haveli design,
Village immersion
Couples,
Culture Seekers
The Singh family consulted their Guru and turned to their homeland, Deogarh, to build this shiny new hotel.
Surrounded by the Aravali Hills, Dev Shree was constructed in the style of a grand haveli, bright and welcoming with lovely green grounds and an impressive central open-sky courtyard. Dev Shree was conceptualised to support the local villages of Deogarh, and the doors opened in October 2015.
The Singh family is in residence at Dev Shree, and they look forward to cooking, guiding walking tours, and sharing stories with guests.
Come here for a friendly reception, great food, pleasant lodgings, and a real taste of Rajasthani village life and culture. This is the perfect antidote to the bustling cities of Udaipur and Jodhpur, and a great way to break up an adventure tour of Rajasthan with a country retreat.
Deogarh is located between Udaipur and Jodhpur, a great overnight stop to break up a long drive. The temples at Ranakpur are close at hand, and the Chittorgarh is home to one of the largest forts in India, now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You can visit the local villages, spot rare and beautiful birds on Ragho Sagar Lake, and explore the grounds and farms where local produce is sourced for your meals.
The Rooms
The seven rooms are bright and lofty with elegant furnishings in vibrant colours. All have garden views and big, luxurious bathrooms attached. The marble floors are bathed in plenty of natural light, and overall, the entire hotel is spacious, elegant, and very pleasant.
