In lovely Udaipur, Oberoi Udaivilas is an iconic and rather extravagant modern built palace constructed in the Mewari style.
The views of the lake, palace, and stunning surroundings are not just picturesque. They are stupendous. If you only get the chance to stay in one Oberoi in the whole of India, this is the one. Oberoi Udaivilas is a magnificent and luxurious experience.
Perched on the Maharana of Mewar’s hunting grounds, Oberoi Udaivilas is set on fifty beautifully manicured and maintained acres. The property feels quite removed from Udaipur and is very tranquil. The hotel areas are connected by a complex arrangement of corridors and domes, all of which are sunlit and fascinating to pass through. The main spa here uses Ayurvedic techniques and offers plenty of luxurious treatments and therapies.
Ideal for travellers seeking a truly indulgent stay in Udaipur, with exceptional service and refined luxury throughout.
You can expect first-class personal service with butlers and 24-hour facilities (the 24-hour bar is a particular highlight). Oberoi Udaivilas is award-winning for a reason: it’s gorgeous, opulent, and polished. If you have just one chance to experience this level of luxury and beauty in India, take it here.
The Rooms
The 86 rooms and suites are bright, pleasantly colourful, and surprisingly modern. We’d highly recommend a semi-private pool room, especially in the warmer months: you can access the 240-foot long pool though a wooden gate directly from your room, and soak in the views from your private pool terrace.
