What’s included:

With ETG, what’s included is shaped around ease. We take care of the practical details that can distract from the experience itself, so you’re free to relax into the journey and enjoy it as it unfolds.

Here’s what comes as standard in all of our holidays:

All flights (unless you’ve booked your own)
Carefully selected guides and drivers
All accommodation
Many meals and snacks
Immersive experiences throughout
All regional transport
Gratuities
24/7 In-Country support
Personal travel consultant throughout

Pricing:

Each journey is shaped around you, so costs vary depending on season, flight choices, accommodation and how much is built in.

As a guide, most of our two-week trips fall between £5,000 and £10,000 per person.

Some fall below that, particularly for families or travel outside peak periods. Others go beyond it when the brief includes business-class flights, longer stays, or more ambitious hotel choices.

We discuss budget early, so everything is clear from the start.

“If you’re anything like me, one taste of Indonesia and you’re hooked. It’s the kind of place that keeps calling you back – a real tropical escape, with enough adventure to keep things exciting”.

The Best Times to Go on a Holiday in Indonesia

Indonesia is a year-round destination, but due to its sheer size, weather patterns vary across the islands.

  • May to September: The driest months across much of Indonesia, ideal for exploring Java’s temples, volcanoes, and beaches in Bali and Lombok.

  • October to April: Wetter months, particularly in Bali and Java, though showers are often short and refreshing. This is a great time for cultural immersion and fewer crowds.

  • Wildlife viewing: Borneo’s orangutans are easiest to spot between June and September.

Your ETG consultant will match your travel dates to the best regions so you get the most from your trip.

The Finest Classic Hotels in Indonesia

Hotels in Indonesia are as diverse as the islands themselves. You might choose a luxury retreat like Amanjiwo in Java, where architecture frames Borobudur in the distance, or a boutique resort on Lombok, where the rhythm of the ocean sets the tone. In Borneo and Sulawesi, rustic eco-lodges and characterful homestays bring you closer to wildlife and local life. Wherever you stay, we’ll make sure it fits your style and budget, while always offering warmth, authenticity, and a sense of place.

Climing Ijen
Aerial view of tropical islands and turquoise lagoon in Indonesia

A Brilliant Adventure (Bali and Beyond)

Decided we wanted to do more than just go to Bali so asked for something different and some travelling around, and what an adventure it turned out to be. Highlight climbing the Ijen volcano in East Java a fantastic experience with our very experienced guide... Then off to Sumba a magical and intriguing island... The whole trip was a great mixture of adventure, culture and lovely hotels.

First-class Island Hopping in Indonesia

Fantastic journey, away from the tourists hotspots, of Java, Borneo, Bali and Komodo. All means of transport and wide variety of experiences from primary jungle to volcanos to dragons.

Temples, Volcanoes and Dragons of Indonesia

A 16 night family holiday with 2 teenage boys. We did enough cultural visits to keep mum happy but with volcano visit, swimming pools, Komodo dragons, snorkelling and seeing Manta rays the boys had a fantastically diverse holiday. I have used Experience Travel Group three times now and would highly recommend them.

The Best Experiences in Indonesia

A holiday in Indonesia is not just about what you see, but how you experience it. Classic ETG trips balance iconic highlights with deeper, unexpected encounters. You could be watching the sun rise over Mount Bromo, learning to cook Balinese dishes with a local family, or spotting orangutans swinging through Borneo’s forests. Beyond the big sights, our guides help unlock quieter moments, whether it’s wandering through a village market or hearing the resonant notes of a gamelan performance drift into the evening air. These are the experiences that make a trip to Indonesia unforgettable.
