Originally a family home, the villa was designed by a student of the late architect Geoffrey Bawa. Its decor blends Sri Lankan, Dutch, and British influences to create a grand yet relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The building is set around a beautiful garden and courtyard with two suites on the ground floor and two much larger suites on the first floor. Each room is uniquely designed and decorated with meticulous attention to detail, creating a comfortable, relaxed environment.

The Rooms
The villa can be rented as a whole or by the room, with a maximum capacity of 10 people. Even with every room occupied, a stay at Ishq will never feel busy due to its size and layout. In addition to the garden, there are several communal areas throughout the property, including two living rooms, a swimming pool, a dining area, and rooftop verandahs – plenty of places to find peace and quiet or to socialise with your party or other guests.
