Depart your home country for your flight to Sri Lanka.

Explore Sri Lanka with immersive local experiences, wilderness adventures, and luxury hotel stays.
This itinerary is all about balancing our cultural and outdoor adventures with exceptional hotels. It is ideal for people who love luxury accommodation but don’t like to end up in could-be-anywhere hotels where they feel cut off from their destination. There is plenty of time to enjoy a range of carefully crafted experiences without missing out on the relaxation and quality that each unique hotel offers.

Luxury with a Touch of Adventure
As with all our holidays, this itinerary is just a starting point. We will create a bespoke package which will be completely unique for you.

Day 1
Your adventure begins
Days 2 - 4
Water Garden Sigiriya
Arrive at Colombo airport, transfer and board a seaplane to The Cultural Triangle, a scenic flight of just 30 minutes. With three days to explore the area, your guide will show you the ancient cities, and you will have a chance to engage with the locals who live in the surrounding countryside villages.
Accommodation is at Water Garden Sigiriya, one of the only hotels with direct views of Sigiriya, a great place to sit back with a G&T as the sun goes down.

Days 5 - 7
Tea Trails
Head south to Kandy and embark on a memorable, scenic train ride to Hatton, ambling along and passing beautiful tea-clad hills. You stay in a luxurious bungalow at Tea Trails, with stunning views and impeccable service in an idyllic spot. Spend time walking in the plantations, visiting a working tea factory or simply relaxing in this beautiful part of Sri Lanka. During your stay, you’ll taste incredible food, from some of the best rice and curry in Sri Lanka to afternoon tea made from freshly picked leaves.

Days 8 - 9
Ahas Pokuna
Your chauffeur-guide will transfer you to Belihuloya, a rarely visited part of the Sri Lankan wilderness, where you’ll stay two nights in a luxury tented camp. This is a wonderful location to enjoy shorter and longer bushwalks through the forest around the camp, take a yoga or cooking class, or head down to the lake and relax in this beautifully remote setting.

Days 10 - 11
Nine Skies
Travel east in the hills to Nine Skies – a beautiful, refurbished 5-bedroom tea bungalow with marvellous views. Spend three nights here enjoying the lovely personal service and the working tea plantation.
Route 16 of the Pekoe Trail captures the essence of Ella. It’s a 9km trek that takes you from the energy of Ella town to some standout attractions, all against a backdrop of the tea plantations. Not far from Ella, the trail reaches the remarkable Nine Arch Bridge (the inspiration for the name of your accommodation). From the bridge, you can view the towering arches below. As you veer from the tourist trail, the path continues through villages and vegetable farms into serene tea gardens, ending in Demodara.

Day 12 - 14
Galle
For the last part of your holiday, you’ll travel south for a three-night stay in a lovely boutique hotel in the hills above Galle. This gorgeous haven is stylish as well as peaceful. Spend a day cruising down the Kapu Ela River through canals and past small communities before taking a tuk-tuk ride around this remote area, getting a feel for how the locals live.
Day 15
Fly home
Bid farewell to Sri Lanka as you catch your flight, taking home memories of an unforgettable adventure.

Cultural Triangle, Sigirya
Sigiriya and Village Farm Experience
Travel by tuk tuk and tractor as you explore a few local farms. Learn firsthand about the life and work of the villagers, who grow a variety of crops including sweet potato, manioc and finger millet. Meet the farmers and their families, and try your hand at some of the agricultural techniques they use each day.

Sigiriya, Sri Lanka
Pidurangala Rock
Located just north of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Pidurangala Rock is a site of spiritual and historical significance in its own right. The small temple at the base is thought to date back to the 6th century AD, and legend suggests King Kassapa used this forested hillside as both a place of worship and a strategic retreat while under threat from his brothers.

Galle, Sri Lanka
Lunuganga and Brief Gardens
Set beside tranquil Dedduwa Lake in Bentota, Lunuganga was once a colonial-era plantation. Geoffrey Bawa transformed it into a 15-acre garden estate that fuses tropical beauty with subtle modernist design—reflecting his signature “tropical modernism” philosophy. Pathways wind through symmetrical lawns, dense foliage and carefully framed vistas. Sculptures and hidden pavilions surprise at every turn.

Cultural Triangle, Sri Lanka
Polonnaruwa Cycling Tour
Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka, from the 11th – 13th Century. Unlike in the first capital, Anuradhapura which is mainly composed of Buddhist religious sites, here you’ll find the remains of multi-storey palaces, royal pavilions and bathing ponds complete with changing rooms – all standing testament to the luxurious lifestyle of the royalty – alongside Buddhist and Hindu temples with flawless craftsmanship and artistry.
Half a day cycling through Polonnaruwa will bring the splendours of the city closer to you, transporting you to another time.

Galle, Sri Lanka
Market, Cooking and Galle Fort
Begin your day at a lively local fish market, where the catch of the day arrives fresh and flapping. With the help of your host, you’ll choose fish, vegetables and spices before heading to a nearby home kitchen for a hands-on cooking class.

Cultural Triangle, Sri Lanka
Kayaking & Elephant Watching in Kalawewa National Park
Set within Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, Kalawewa National Park is centred around a manmade reservoir built in the 5th century by King Dathusena. Now a protected area, this peaceful park remains one of the country’s lesser-known gems, perfect for eco-tourists seeking space and silence.

Galle, Sri Lanka
Essence of Galle
Galle is the beating heart of Sri Lanka’s south coast, where seafood markets buzz at dawn and the centuries-old Fort hides layers of history and life. This experience offers a window into its soul.
For those keen to venture beyond the Fort, there’s the option of a gentle cycling tour through nearby villages. Ride past checkerboard paddy fields and gurgling streams, stopping to try your hand at making “hoppers” – a much-loved Sri Lankan tea-time snack.
