Located on a private islet overlooking the Thu Bon River and
Nipa Palm Forest, the Namia River Retreat is a wellness-focused resort offering
peace and tranquility in a scenic setting.
The retreat is a short bicycle ride from the UNESCO Heritage
Town of Hoi An and also offers a complimentary shuttle boat to and from the
hotel. While we thoroughly encourage everyone to explore the town, it might be
hard to leave Namia.
All 60 rooms are private pool villas, divided into four
categories of 1 and 2 bedrooms. Each villa is spacious and modern yet homely
and comfortable, with open-plan living areas, outdoor terraces, large bedrooms
with sunken bathtubs, and either river or forest views.
As a wellness-inclusive resort, guests receive a
complimentary 90-minute daily well-being experience beginning with a 30-minute
herbal hammam followed by a 60-minute traditional therapy session. There is
also a range of spaces to recharge in, including eight herbal steam rooms, a
river-view terrace with sauna and cold plunge, relaxation lounges, and outdoor
salas for yoga and meditation.
For anyone who can tear themselves away from this sanctuary of serenity and wellness, the Namia offers a range of suitably slow-paced activities to explore the surrounding area. Go for a paddle around the islet in a traditional basket boat, borrow a bicycle and ride one of the local trails, or take a sunset cruise along the river to see the town's goings-on at dusk. Vespa tours are also available in nearby villages or the countryside and river islands for those wanting to venture a little further.
The Namia River Retreat offers a blend of peace, pampering, local charm, and an indulgent treat during any trip around
Vietnam.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
