Family Luxury Indochina
A once-in-a-lifetime Indochina experience for families who like to mix unique adventures with the best quality hotels.
Experience the lives of real Cambodians living just outside the hustle and bustle of foreign tourists in the small villages and hamlets that are peppered around Siem Reap. A short drive will take you to the edge of town, where you will have a quick chat about your quad biking experience (doesn't matter if you have never been on a quad bike before, or even seen one before!), so that your guide has a clear idea of what you want to see and can offer appropriate tips on how to conduct the activity. After a test ride around the compound to familiarise yourself with the bike and its controls, with your helmet firmly on your head, you and your guide will leisurely head off into the countryside.
What will follow is breath-taking vista after breath-taking vista of rural Cambodia; a patchwork quilt of shimmering rice paddies next to fields of bright green grasses and vegetables, carved up by winding streams of murky water with the occasional buffalo or gaggle of children enjoying an early evening swim. The roads are not in fact roads, but dirt tracks that are expertly navigated by our guides, who all know the area like the back of their hands. You'll pass traditional dark-wood Khmer houses on stilts, with small groups of people huddled around cooking fires and lounging in hammocks. Children in blue and white school uniforms peddle along barefoot on their push-bikes, their faces illuminating at the sight of a foreigner in such a rural area.
The sunset itself tops off this unique rural experience. The orange sun sinks into a hazy pink sky, reflected perfectly in the mirror-like paddy fields. We can’t even do justice with words how beautiful it is to watch the sunset in this incredible location!
This is definitely not about speed or racing, which may be the though of many people when they hear the word quad bike! This is actually a fantastic way to access some parts of the beautiful countryside that are in-accessible by car, which means you will have the chance to explore where no-one but the locals have explored before. Your guide will stay with you at all times, and you can stop as often or little as you like to take photos, chat to locals and generally explore. You set the speed, and take your time to soak up the incredible views and warmth of the locals that Cambodia is so famous for.
A highly recommended experience.
