You’ll spend five days based in a beautiful hotel in Siem Reap from which you’ll be able to explore the temples of Angkor and the villages of Tonle Sap lake with your expert local guide.

A short flight will then take you to Danang in Vietnam, a stone's throw from the ancient town of Hoi An. Here you’ll be based at the luxurious Nam Hai beach resort for six nights with accommodation in your beach villa. Day 1 Depart the UK

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Siem Reap.

Day 2-5 Siem Reap

On arrival, your Cambodian guide and driver will meet you for the transfer to your hotel. Most of the first day is free for you to relax and enjoy a swim or perhaps visit the spa. In the afternoon you’ll get your first taste of Angkor with a sunset visit to one of the less-visited temples.

During your stay you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a dawn visit to Angkor Wat itself; we recommend beginning the tour before it even gets light to dodge the crowds and see this marvellous structure in a fairytale-like scene, but the day is flexible, and you can visit later if you prefer. Other highlights include the ancient royal city of Angkor Thom and the forest-clad Ta Prohm among other less well-known temples. Beyond the temples, Siem Reap has some lovely restaurants to enjoy, and you’ll also have a chance to visit the villages on the lake of Tonle Sap.

Day 6- 11 Hoi An

Board a short flight due east to Danang in Vietnam where your local guide and driver will meet you for the short journey along the coast towards Hoi An. Arrive at the Nam Hai resort, one of the best places in Asia to enjoy both cultural adventures and relaxed beach-time from the same high-quality resort.

With your guide, you’ll take a walking tour of the UNESCO heritage site of Hoi An town. Untouched by war and with a complete ban on motorised traffic, historic Hoi An is one of the country’s most beguiling destinations and a joy to explore on foot. Enjoy the riverside ambience, art galleries and markets of one of Vietnam’s cultural gems.

Between strolls around Hoi An and lazy days on the beach, there is also time for an expertly guided tour of the local countryside. On the rural tour, you’ll ride pillion on a Vespa bike, weaving through the narrow roads into quiet villages and along the waterways. A lush landscape awaits, with insightful stops meeting rural families, learning about their lifestyle and sampling delicious fresh foods along the way.

Day 12 Fly Home or stay

Today you fly back home to the UK. However, you could choose to extend the holiday to stay in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City or both. All of our holidays can be changed to suit your style and timeframe.
