Cocotinos, Sekotong

Cocotinos beach resort and spa are situated on the secluded Tanjung  Empet beach, Sekotong bay, south-west Lombok.  Set in an old coconut plantation where more than three hundred trees still stand this is a modern hotel in an established, picturesque setting. Facing three of the more underdeveloped Gili (Islands) in the Lombok Strait, Cocotinos' white sand beach stretches 300m including the hotel's own private cove.

The resort has a total of 36 rooms and villas, including eight newly built Garden rooms and the two-story Rinjani Villa which houses its own private veranda and plunge pool. Rooms are decorated in a bright modern style in keeping with the general ambience of contemporary charm. Locally crafted wooden furnishings and features add hints of Indonesian influence to the hotel’s décor, creating an exotic feel throughout.

Though the area remains underdeveloped the hotel offers lots of activities with which to pass the time. Cocotinos has its own scuba diving facility for guests to explore the region’s renowned marine wildlife. Bike tours, hiking tours, snorkelling and other trips are available upon request at the hotel and, for a more relaxing time, spa treatments are available from the Latina beachfront spa. The central swimming pool also offers a place to sunbathe and relax.

Situated next to the pool is the Ela Ela Restaurant with panoramic views of the beach, a menu of both local and international dishes and an alfresco dining experience.  After dinner enjoys the warm evening with a walk along Cocotinos’ wooden pier.
