“Rise early to head out on safari as the sun peeks through the sal trees. Keep your binoculars at the ready as the animals that call the forest home start to stir. Pure magic.”

The Best Times to Go on a Holiday in India
For wildlife viewing in India, the best time to travel is generally from November to April, when the weather is dry, and animal sightings are more likely. March and April are especially good for tiger sightings as the vegetation thins and animals gather around waterholes.
Each region has its own peak. Kanha and Bandhavgarh, for example, are ideal in spring, while the birdlife of Bharatpur and the wetlands of Assam thrive during winter. We’ll help time your journey to make the most of every sighting opportunity.
The Finest Wildlife Hotels in India
From tented jungle camps to eco-luxury lodges deep in tiger territory, our stays are chosen for their character and commitment to conservation. Think roaring campfires, birdcalls at dawn, and hammocks with forest views.

It’s not just about tigers, though seeing one in the wild is unforgettable. Stay in boutique jungle lodges, explore rural life around the parks, and balance game drives with cultural experiences like ancient temples, village visits, or quiet time at a heritage haveli. It’s all about seeing India’s natural wonders, without ever feeling rushed.
Important FAQs about Holidays in India
India’s wildlife holidays are almost as diverse as the people themselves. Sure, Ranthambore often takes the spotlight for tiger safaris due to its proximity to other famous sites, but there’s so much more to explore. We’ll match your interests to the right parks..
Madhya Pradesh is one of ETG’s favourite tiger territories as there are fewer crowds than Rajasthan.
Wildlife connoisseurs should head to ‘The Jungle Book’ settings in Pench or Kanha. If you’d like to go on walking safaris, Satpura is the place for you. Corbett, India’s oldest national park, is home to many animals, from majestic elephants to elusive leopards.
Dudhwa, with its untouched forests, is a hidden gem: said to be the top tiger-spotting location in the subcontinent. And then there’s Nagahole and Periyar in the south, the lions of Gujarat, the one-horned rhinos of Bengal and many places to spot glorious birdlife.
There are never guarantees in the wild, but we’ll give you the best odds by choosing the right parks, the right guides, and the right time to go.
Absolutely. Add in the Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, Kerala or even a beach break—we’ll design your perfect blend of wild and wonderful.
Expect small, stylish safari lodges, characterful eco-camps and boutique hotels chosen for both comfort and proximity to nature.
