Sri Lanka's South Coast
Sri Lanka’s south coast offers more than just beaches – though they are undeniably beautiful. Here you’ll find fishermen reeling in nets at dawn, turtle hatchlings under moonlight, and Galle’s sunlit cobbled streets. These itinerary ideas bring together coastal relaxation with cultural depth and natural wonder.
Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle
Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle is where ancient sites rise from forested plains and jungle-tangled caves hold centuries-old relics. Admire the rock fortress of Sigiriya without the crowds, explore Anuradhapura and delve into sacred rituals with your guide, and wander through forgotten ruins hidden beneath the trees. This is a region rich in history, and we know just where to find the stillness and space to soak it all in.
Sri Lanka's Hill Country
The Hill Country is one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic – and most serene – spots. Tea plantations carpet the cascading hills, colonial-era bungalows dot the landscape, and ridgelines vanish into the morning mist. It’s a region that invites you to slow down: rumble along the renowned railway, sip freshly plucked tea, and amble through rural villages (the Pekoe Trail is a delight).
Sri Lanka's East Coast
The east coast feels like a bit of a secret, compared to the south coast, with its wide-open beaches, vibrant Tamil culture and laid-back pace. If you fancy surfing, Arugam Bay’s the spot, Trincomalee’s great for snorkelling. and the little towns along the way are wonderfully low-key.
Northern Sri Lanka
Hardly any travellers head to Sri Lanka’s far north, but they’re missing out. Jaffna has a rich Tamil culture, colourful temples and food you won’t find elsewhere on the island. Swing a little west and you reach Wilpattu, a quieter alternative to Yala for leopard spotting, and Negombo with a lovely lagoon.
