Eat at the award-winning restaurant of Ariyasom Villa, famous for its delicious selection of vegetarian food. Set in a charming 1940s villa in the heart of Bangkok, the restaurant provides an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets outside.
The interiors are fitted with teak, large french windows and vintage-style fans, a reminder of a bygone era. The menu features both Thai and Western dishes made from wholesome organic food with a focus on vegetarian recipes. The fried tofu with sweet dipping sauce makes for a brilliant starter combined with river prawns in sweet/sour tamarind sauce. The hot spring rolls are also mouthwatering and cleanse the palette for your main course. We would heartily recommend the aubergine green curry, vegetarian pad thai and noodle soups. There are a selection of deserts but we must commend the restaurant for its fantastic fruit-based dishes, particularly the sticky rice and mango pudding.
If the weather proves favourable, you can eat by the pool outside with its leafy tropical city garden. You may also meet David, the villa's owner, who likes to check you are having a good time. All in all, this makes for an unforgettable dining experience.
