Info : Eastern and Oriental Express Train

The Eastern and Oriental Express is a luxury train (sister to the Orient Express) offering a variety of scenic journey’s in South East Asia.  The most popular and frequent route is between Bangkok and Singapore and vice versa. En route you traverse steamy jungles and verdant rice fields as your magical voyage takes you past the temples, traditional villages and colonial sights of Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

On board meals are served in one of the two gourmet restaurants, elegantly decorated with rosewood and elm panels. Breakfast is delivered to cabins early so you can take breakfast in bed whilst watching the scenery from your window.  The train also has a bar car where you can enjoy evening drinks, a pianist and local performances. The observation deck is a great place to sip a sunset cocktail, read a book or simply take in the beauty of the countryside. A third of the observation deck is outdoor making it a great place to take photos and truly appreciate the scenery, scents and sounds of this wonderful region.

 On board cabins are luxurious with picture windows, private bathrooms and plush colonial/oriental interiors. There are 3 cabins types; Pullman Cabins are 62 sqft, State Cabins are 82sqft and Presidential Cabins are 125 sqft, all are configured as private lounges during the day and are converted to sleeping compartments at night by the 24 hr on board stewards.
