The Rachamankha is one of Chiang Mai's most stylish and seductive boutique hotels. Centrally located, and within the walls of the old city, a short walk is enough to take you to most of Chiang Mais sites.
The hotel's design is exceptional. Traditional northern Thai Lanna style is fused with contemporary approaches and techniques, furnished with exquisite antiques, and the 25 rooms offer great space and comfort with style. The owners intended the design to reflect the Chinese roots of Thai architecture and the Burmese, Lua and Laotion influences found across northern Thailand. Architecturally, the designers have borrowed from the chapel of Wat Phra, one of Thailands most beautiful temples. Rooms at The Rachamankha include Superior, Deluxe and Suite.
The hotel restaurant, located in an adjacent building, is one of the best in the city and attracts outside diners. Illuminated by stunning red Lanna lanterns, a variety of Thai, Japanese, Western and Vietnamese cuisine is served. Breakfasts are served in the pillared courtyard beneath the shade of old trees. Service is first-rate.
A 20-metre swimming pool surrounded by flowering trees and sun loungers sits majestically in the courtyard.

Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
