Thailand, West Coast and Islands
Info : Sarojin
The Sarojin is one of the finest boutique hotels in Asia. This contemporary resort strikes a great balance between development and nature. Its careful design has maximised space and privacy and an atmosphere of calm abounds. Indeed the plunge pools, spa pools, intimate couplesâ baths, waterfall showers, private gardens and dining tables in extraordinary locations are reminiscent of staying at a friend's private estate.
The 56 guest residences are in three categories; Garden Residence rooms come with full amenities and Thai lounge area. Pool Residence rooms are slightly larger and have private plunge pools. Finally, the Sarojin Suite rooms are larger still, have sea view and air-conditioned pavilion.
The Sarojin has its own team of personal guides, luxury boat and fleet of cars for guestsâ exclusive use. It can also tailor experiences and excursions to suit individual tastes and requirements. Perhaps a private charter on the luxury boat Lady Sarojin snorkeling and cruising the world famous Similan Islands; or a personal jungle adventure for two complete with champagne and private dining or luncheon in an extraordinary outdoor location; a Thai cooking class and lunch by a waterfall; a romantic private barbecue on The Sarojin's own secluded white beach.... The Sarojin offers a truly unforgettable experience.
The Sarojin is less than one hour's drive from Phuket airport. Regularly featured on the Conde Nast Traveller 'Hotlist', it is fast gaining a justified reputation since opening in 2005.
Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.

Really enjoyed the food tour. It took us to a part of Bangkok that we would never have visited. We visited 5 restaurants, some of which you would probably dismiss out of hand and carry on walking past from their appearance. They were also very clued up on local knowledge so it was a much a cultural tour as food tour.
