As an alternative to a day trip to Halong from Hanoi, we recommend taking a 2 day/1 night cruise and staying overnight on the bay. This is a fantastic way to take in the spectacular scenery at a relaxing pace.
There are a range of boats available to suit all budgets. All have comfortable, cosy cabins, private bathrooms, sun decks and serve delicious cuisine while on board. The more luxurious options include the Ginger and Jasmine traditional junk boats and the Emeraude paddle steamer. All combine classic beauty with modern comfort, Jasmine being the cream of the crop with two suites even having their own Jacuzzis.
Excursions available from the boat include kayaking and visiting hidden coves. On some of the luxury boats, massage and Tai Chi lessons are available.
The 2 day/1 night excursion can be added to any itinerary and transfers are included to and from Hanoi.
