Indochina Red Dragon, Halong Bay
Vietnam, Hanoi and The North

Info : Indochina Red Dragon

The Red Dragon is one of the Indochina Junk companies boats and is an ideal choice for exploring Bai Tu Long Bay. Small, stylish and comfortable, the cruise route is a little quieter than Halong Bay itself.

The junk is 25m long and carries a maximum of 10 passengers in 5 well furnished and very comfortable deluxe cabins. The intimate atmosphere makes this a sociable choice.

As usual there is a choice between 1 and 2 nights, with the 2nd day spent on a small island where snorkeling and swimming is possible.

A great choice for our guests. We think that while you miss one or two of the most famous sites, this is more than compensated for by the absence of a 'package tour' feel.

Indochina Junks also operate the larger Dragon Pearl boat (still relatively small with 10 cabins), and the Prince and Princess boats which offer private cruising with just 1 or 2 cabins on board.

Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.

Customer Feedback
We feel that we've seen Vietnam and Cambodia in some depth. The real parts, not just the tourist areas. The holiday has provided us with great insight into both countries. David was right when he said it would be better to have our own Guide and driver. It really did make a big difference to the holiday overall!
